David M. Greenberg joined Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services in 2005 and is Senior Managing Director of Investments and the Executive Director of the Marcus & Millichap National Hospitality Group. In this capacity he is responsible for national investment sales, debt and structured equity placement, and advisory services with a concentration in the hospitality industry. He is based out of the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale, Florida office.
With extensive experience in acquisitions, development, and hotel finance, Mr. Greenberg has tremendous contacts with buyers at all levels and has facilitated the sale of over 100 hotels nationwide. Clients include private and public companies as well as financial institutions. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Greenberg held a senior position with Sunburst Hospitality Corporation, an owner-operator of hotels nationwide. During his tenure with Sunburst, Mr. Greenberg worked on 75 completed transactions in excess of $315 million, including a portfolio sale of 17 hotels for $92 million. These transactions ranged in type and included the disposition of full service, select service, limited service, and extended stay hotels.
Mr. Greenberg has over 21 years of experience in the hotel industry with both public and private companies. As one of the leading brokers in the hospitality industry, Mr. Greenberg possesses broad experience in analyzing complex transactions and has personally been involved in the acquisition and development of a variety of individual hotels throughout his career. The personal experience Mr. Greenberg brings to Marcus & Millichap assists him in every aspect of the sales process from identifying and pre-qualifying a buyer, to anticipating potential issues before they arise during the due diligence period. This insight and experience has enabled Mr. Greenberg to successfully guide both buyers and sellers through difficult transactions. Mr. Greenberg has been recognized as a top hotel broker, and has been recognized as the #1 hospitality broker at Marcus & Millichap and has earned multiple sales recognition awards with Marcus & Millichap. Mr. Greenberg holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Emory University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Maryland.

Gabriel Shamay is an Investment Associate with Marcus & Millichap's National Hospitality Group. He joined the firm in 2014 as a Financial Analyst where he analyzed, underwrote and modeled over $1.7 billion worth of hotel properties throughout the United States. In 2016, Gabriel transitioned to an investment sales position and quickly became one of the top calling hospitality agents nationwide. Gabriel's unique partnership between he, his senior partners and the Marcus & Millichap platform provides clients with certainty that they will leave "no stone un-turned" in the marketplace. Additionally, his breadth of experience in all aspects of hospitality sales including financial analysis, hotel accounting, marketing, and research makes him an invaluable resource to his clients. Prior to joining the Greenberg + Partners Hospitality Group, Gabriel worked as a Researcher at CBRE where he collaborated with commercial brokers of all property types in order to write research reports distributed to thousands of real estate investors. Jordan underwrites properties by analyzing comparable hospitality properties, sales trends and geographical market research. Connor performs analysis on both individual properties and target geographic markets, with a focus on the hospitality sector. Prior to joining the Greenberg + Partners team, Connor worked for a government contractor creating proposals as well as managed his father's real estate investment company in New Jersey which primarily specializes in both single and multi-family residential properties. Stephanie Carten is the Marketing Coordinator of Marcus & Millichap's Fort Lauderdale office. She joined Marcus & Millichap in December 2016. She aids in the marketing process by coordinating media relations, graphic design, direct-mail and email marketing, advertising strategies, and event planning. Ms. Carten holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design from Full Sail University.
Eric Fixler joined Marcus & Millichap / IPA Capital Markets's Ft. Lauderdale office in November of 2015. Mr. Fixler brings over 18 years of commercial real estate finance experience and is responsible for debt and equity originations for national clients, REITs and private client groups. His experience in retail, multifamily, office and other asset classes has contributed to over $400 million in closed transactions annually. Prior to Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Fixler was a senior vice president at Walker and Dunlop where he successfully closed transactions with Life Companies, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS lenders and regional banks. In 2008, Mr. Fixler founded EF Capital with a focus on establishing local banking relationships for the firms' clients in the Southeast region of the United States as well as agency lending opportunities. Mr. Fixler began his career as an associate in a boutique M&A consulting firm and in 1997 co-founded MegaHertz-NKO Communications.
Mr. Fixler's consultative approach combined with long standing relationships with capital sources provides multiple financing solutions to meet his clients needs and business objectives.
Mr. Fixler earned his Bachelors of Economics from Yeshiva University.
Steve Goldwyn has closed hundreds of commercial real estate loans and has over twenty years' experience financing commercial property. Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Goldwyn owned a manufacturing and wholesale distribution company from its founding in 1987 to 2004 and served as a lender with Bayview Financial LLP in Coral Gables, Fla. Mr. Goldwyn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
Emil Iskandar joined the Newport Beach office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) as a director in October 2014. In this role, Mr. Iskandar secures commercial debt and equity financing for an array of hospitality properties, including full-, select- and limited-service hotels, resort hotel properties and golf courses, on behalf of clients nationwide. Mr. Iskandar has established strong relationships with a variety of national, regional and local funding sources including commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and hard money lenders.
Mr. Iskandar has more than 10 years of commercial real estate finance experience, focused on the hospitality sector. Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Iskandar served as a vice president with HVS Capital Corp. in Denver, formerly Sonnenblick Goldman. Over the course of his career, Mr. Iskandar has arranged CRE financing valued in excess of $1 billion. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Denver and a bachelor's degree in architecture from Parahyangan University, Indonesia.
David Purisch has been involved in hundreds of commercial loan closings, overseeing a team of lenders while serving a Vice President with Silver Hill Financial, in Miami, Fla., prior to joining MMCC. Mr. Purisch graduated from the University of Florida and earned a Master of Arts in Human Development from George Washington University.
